Who We Are
We do more than your average cheer team. Our coaches believe in following the outlines set forth by American Youth Football & Cheer. The American Youth Football (AYF) League has created a sister League uniquely for its cheerleaders. The name of this League is American Youth Cheer (AYC). Any cheerleading, dance, or step team who cheers for, or is affiliated with, an American Youth Football Team is automatically welcomed into this organization.
Our coaches are positive role models for our kids. The team of coaches we have are dedicated to teaching youth ages 5-15. Our emphasis is on learning, playing, and enjoying the sport while instilling high moral standards. We stress the importance of academic achievement and community involvement. We prepare youngsters to face the future with sportsmanship, teamwork, honesty, responsibility, self-discipline, positive aspirations, academic preparedness and confidence. If we teach them positive lessons, such as playing by the rules, our young athletes will learn to live by the rules.
Reasons to Get Involved
AYC is built on the premise that the same families who gather to watch the AYF/AYC football players compete on a weekly basis, will also gather to watch the AYC cheerleaders compete on a local, regional, and national level.
To youth cheerleaders, competition is their time to shine. While they greatly enjoy their primary role at each local football game, they equally enjoy the opportunity to perform on the competition floor. If the option of competition is missing from the cheerleading experience, the full benefit of the experience is lacking. AYC is committed to creating a positive competitive environment, where your cheerleaders can highlight and showcase their skills, while learning how to win with grace and lose with honor.

How We Work
Teamwork
We work together to achieve a common goal. One of the reasons parents put their children in sports is to make friends and learn to work together. Successful people work well with others and it’s important that kids see these interactions.
Business Skills
While we work together we work on projects like fundraisers. Your child will learn the importance of marketing and sales, applying what they’ve learned to solve problems easier, quicker, and more independently.
Goal Setting
Goal setting helps children understand completing tasks within a specific timeline is important. Children learn about deadlines and apply what they learn from experience as they grow into adults.
Benefits of Giving Back
It feels great helping others, fundraising is all about raising money for a good cause. Seeing the project through and the result that comes from hard work.
